HantsAbility was founded in 2010 by a passionate group of sponsors to help local families to manage disability.
This includes the provision of equipment, together with professional help and emotional support, and planning for the future.
Our target to raise as much money as we can during 2011 was exceeded, and we will now expand our horizons in future years by building on our success.
Our main aims are:
To support the provision of respite care;
Pay for items of equipment for individuals or providers of care which helps them in the management of a disability to improve their quality of life;
To provide a regular day centre in Basingstoke for individuals with disabilities and their carers.
All beneficiaries are individuals and family providers of care for those with a disability, primarily in the Hampshire area. We are proud to be part of Basingstoke Voluntary Services and we work closely with them.
Women In Business Group Charity of The Year:
We are delighted that the fabulous Women In Business Group has chosen HantsAbility as their Charity of The Year.
HantsAbility is very keen to support the London 2012 Olympic Games of course, and in particular the Paralympics.
We have held a remarkable series of events so far this year, which can be viewed on our website.
We've had lots of fun and made some fabulous friends.
Our main fund raising event in 2012 will once again be the Masquerade Ball in the spectacular Guildhall in Winchester. Everyone is invited and we guarantee a memorable evening!
