It has been a busy week with league matches and national competitions. Here is a summary of the matches

Cotswold League

The team travelled to Cotswold Bowls Club (Stroud) to play their first match on Tuesday 7th May. The team played well away on grass and they were unlucky to come away with only four points. The score was a draw on shots, 45-45, however Cotswold won two of the rinks and Malmesbury only one, so the points score was 4-6. Quite remarkably, all 3 games in Division 3 were drawn on shots.

On Tuesday, 14th May, the Malmesbury team played their first home game, and Baz Kenyon made his debut, congratulations to Baz.

Victory Park B were the visitors and Malmesbury won two of the rinks, so the final score was 8-2 on points and 52-48 on shots. The league table can be viewed here - https://www.southcotswoldbowls.co.uk/?page_id=87.

Last week, Malmesbury made their shortest journey in the Wiltshire For Rinks League to Chippenham Park on Wednesday 8th May. Two of the rinks adapted better than the other two.
