Join local historian, Jane Hurst in a talk about Holybourne, Alton. Andrews Endowed School was founded in 1719 by local philanthropist, Thomas Andrews and his endowment allowed the establishment of one of the oldest primary schools in Hampshire. In Jane Austen's day the Headmaster and curate at the Holy Rood Church in the village was a Mr Gibson and known to Jane and her family in Chawton.

Refreshments will be served at 6.00pm as doors open with the talk starting at 6.30pm. This talk should last about an hour including a Q & A session.
