Join Jane Hurst, local historian as she takes you ona a tour of the historic St Lawrence's Church, in Alton, home of our Sunday Evensong.
The Church has many connectoins with the family and friends of Jane Austen. Children of her brother Frank ad niece Anna were baptised here. Her borther Henry and Anna's husband did services from the pulpit and there are memorials to people she knew. There is even a pla of the pews from 1815 showing us where many people sat.
The end time is approximate as the tour usually take about 1 hour 30 minutes but there may be questions at the end.
