Details

Cottismore nursery is hosting two plant sales on Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th May, each from 10.00-3.00, when a huge variety of bedding plants will be available for the public to buy. More information about the sales is on the website of Newbury Community Resource Centre, which gives all the details.

The Horticultural Society is pleased to promote the sales and for such a worthwhile cause. Growing2gether functions primarily as a horticultural therapy and environmental education centre for adults and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues. It also functions as a food growing hub for all members of the local community but in particular children. The Growing 2gether Project is based on a 1.5 ha site at Cottismore Park near Kingsclere, North Hampshire. The site contains greenhouses, allotments, an orchard and a Wildlife Education Area. The project is supported by the Greenham Trust, which owns the site.
