Grounds Manager

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Management Committee:

• Managing the Club and its business as mandated in the Articles of Association and Byelaws.
• Being actively involved in creating and following a Club Development Plan.

Grounds:

• Ensuring that the Club’s grounds, excluding the bowling green, are maintained to a high standard. Areas of responsibility include:
  • Grass borders and perimeter hedging.
  • Shelters, external furniture, fencing etc.
  • Paving around the green.
• Ensuring that the bowling green irrigation system is maintained in good working order.
• Ensuring that relevant “grounds” equipment is maintained in good working order.

• Instructing and providing appropriate supervision to volunteers who provide their services in helping deliver the programme of work on the grounds.

• Liaison with the Club Treasurer regarding all financial matters relating to the grounds.

• Responsible for implementing recommendations arising from the Risk Manager’s risk assessments of the grounds, furniture, and equipment.
• Reporting to the Management Committee on matters relating to areas of responsibility.
