Craster Parish Council is deeply saddened by the recent passing of our most beloved former colleague and a true gentleman Michael Craster.

Michael's devotion to Craster was clear for all to see. However, Michael gave so much more to us all, far beyond the roles he fulfilled.

Michael worked tirelessly for this community and particularly his work to mark Remembrance Day will be long remembered in this community. We will deeply miss his friendship, counsel, service and dignity.

Craster Parish Council was delighted to award Michael our highest honour the honorary Freedom of the Parish award last year.

There will be a private funeral to be held shortly. However, Fiona and Michael's family will hold a Thanksgiving in the Spring when it is warmer, when all his friends and family can celebrate Michael's exceptional life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Fiona and her family at this sad time.
