Betty's 90th
North Somercotes Bowls Club
Twenty members gathered at the clobhouse to celebrate Betty Dixon's 90th birthday. Betty is not only still a member of the club but also still regularly plays. Refreshments were brought by the members with tea and coffee provided or a glass of wine. Our President, Marian Libell presented Betty with a bouquet of flowers and our Secretary, Roy Mountford, announced that the committee had decided to give her Life Membership. The Chairman, Mike Norman, presented her with a large birthday card with photos and good wishes of every member of the club. It was a lovely occasion and thoroughly enjoyed by Betty and those who attended.
