We are now in the early months of our Centenary year. A hundred years of Colchester West End Bowls Club is certainly something to celebrate, I’m certain that everyone is looking forward to the season starting and the games getting underway.

Our special Centenary games are as follows:

  • Umpires Association 21.05.26
  • Royal Household 27.06.26
  • Bowls England 08.07.26.
  • Chelsea Pensioners 02.09.26.

Our Opening Drive will be on Saturday 25th April. It will be fabulous to see as many members as possible as we take to the green for our first organised match of the season. Following the game there will be an evening social. Last year was a huge success, we are hoping for a similar afternoon and evening as we open the season in this our Centenary year.

Final thoughts:

  • 62 days until our Opening Drive …… Yay 😊
  • 125 days until West Enders take on the Royal Houshold ……. go go go West End 😊
  • 217 days until our closing drive!!!! Nooooooo ☹
