Community Pulls Together as Brown Cow Quiz Night Raises £316

The Brown Cow in Waberthwaite was buzzing with community spirit on Sunday night as locals gathered for a lively quiz evening that raised £316 for Alexander House.
People packed into the pub, sharing laughs, swapping stories, and enjoying a friendly bit of competition across the quiz rounds. Thanks to the generosity of those taking part, £286 was collected through entries, raffle and donations.

In a heart‑warming gesture that summed up the atmosphere of the night, the winning team chose to donate their £30 prize money straight back into the pot, helping bring the total to £316.

The Directors of Alexander House expressed their gratitude to everyone who came along, emphasising how events like this not only raise valuable funds but also strengthen the sense of togetherness that Waberthwaite is known for.
