Craster Parish Council was delighted to host an information session with local residents to explore the possibility of a Conservation Area designation to part of our parish (9th November 2023)

Recent planning proposals have highlighted the exceptional heritage in our parish. Since the decision on a most recent application, the idea of making part of our parish a Conservation Area has been discussed at a number of public meetings.

In order to ensure that discussions around such a proposal are fully informed and considered, the Parish Council organised an information session with Sarah Winlow (AONB Officer - Historic and Built Environment) and Eleanor Scott (NCC Conservation and Heritage Officer) and we were delighted to welcome residents to this, in order to ask any questions relevant to this proposal.

For anyone unable to attend this meeting, the session is recorded and can be viewed on Youtube via the following link:

The Parish Council would like to thank everyone who participated in this information session. A full copy of the recent LUC report on the AONB, referenced throughout the discussion, can also be found on this webpage.

This was an information session only and we will be discussing this in more detail at future Parish Council meetings.
