On Sunday 21st September, Henfield Bowling Club hosted 2025’s Dave Harwood Community Cup event, renamed this year in honour and memory of the club’s former chairman who passed away in February.

Visiting teams from Burgess Hill, Hurstpierpoint and Storrington joined Henfield in men’s and ladies’ pairs, triples and fours matches. The overall winners were Burgess Hill, with Hurstpierpoint runners-up. The trophy was presented by Dave’s widow, Anne Harwood, with the prize cheques being presented by Club Treasurer, Ted Thibaut, on behalf of new Community Cup sponsors Legacy Plumbing.

Our thanks go not only to Legacy Plumbing but also to all the players who took part and to those club members who made such great efforts to make the day go so well.
