Election of Parish Councillors

Due to three vacancies following the May 2021 Parish Council elections and one vacancy subsequently an election has been called as per below.

Application forms can be obtained from Shropshire Council or online at their website.

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Thursday, 12th August 2021. 2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND, during the times stated above. 3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 9th September 2021. 4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on . Applications can be made online at: https://www.gov.uk/register-tovote . 5. Applications for, and amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND by 5 pm on Tuesday, 24th August 2021. 6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND by 5 pm on Wednesday, 1st September 2021. 7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND by 5 pm on Thursday, 9th September 2021.
