East Midlands Rail has announced timetable changes from this week:

Our new timetable will see a number of improvements on our Regional routes, including off peak Matlock to Nottingham through services, additional services between Leicester and Lincoln, and two trains per hour on the Robin Hood Line on a Saturday.

As part of the timetable change, our Class 180 fleet will be removed from service in line with the current lease agreement end date with Angel Trains Ltd and Maintenance provider, Alstom. We will also be seeing the Class 156’s leave the EMR fleet at this time. Therefore, from Monday 22 May 2023 you may see some formation changes, however we will continue to safeguard our most popular trains in line with customer demand as much as we can.

Our Meridian fleet will continue to operate our Intercity services until we welcome our new Class 810 Aurora fleet to the East Midlands network, our Class 158 and Class 170 trains will operate our Regional services and our Class 360 trains will continue to operate our Connect services.

EMR timetables effective from Sunday 21 May 2023 can be downloaded here: https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/timetables

A timetable change poster can be found attached to this article.
