Banister Park Indoor Bowls Club hosted this year's Hampshire English Bowls Youth Development Scheme Invitation Singles on Sunday 18th February 2024.

We are very grateful to Banister for the use of their excellent facilities free of charge, showing their full support of the Hampshire young bowlers.

Normally the winner and runner up of both the juniors 8 to under 14 years, and seniors 14 to under 18 years would go on to the Southern Regional finals at Horsham indoor bowls club in April, however as Kent, Sussex and Surrey were unable to raise enough youngsters to hold their own county event for the southern region, Hampshire have now been invited to send 4 of the top bowlers from each of the junior and seniors to the National Finals at Melton Mowbray in October 2024!

In the first picture:

The junior winner on the left Harrison Vickery from Loddon Vale
The junior runner up on the right is Matthew McLoughlan from Banister Park
The senior winner at the back left Martin Mason from Loddon Vale
The senior runner up at the back right is Finn Patel from Victory

The second picture shows the 8 top bowlers going through to National Finals.

Left to right Seniors, Joshua Hughes - Banister Park, Grace Read - Victory,
Martin Mason - Loddon Vale, Finn Patel - Victory

Left to right Juniors, Harrison Vickery - Loddon Vale, Matthew McLoughlan -
Banister Park, Edward Armstrong - Field - Chawton Park, William Hunt - Victory

We would like to thank all the markers, coaches, umpires, officers and helpers for their valuable time and expertise, without which we could not hold this prestigious event.
