DIDN'T WE HAVE A LUVVERLY DAY. ..........

THE DAY WE WENT TO. ........... FRAMLINGHAM

Yes just like the song we did have a lovely day.

Last season we said wouldn't it be nice to visit a bowls club out of our area as other clubs go on tour do.

Alan and Mick got together and agreed to contact Framlingham Castle Bowls Club, known to Mick through his daughter who lives nearby. After many emails between the two clubs the day finally arrived for us to begin our adventure. And what an adventure.

16 of us set off by coach, an experience in itself. Two and a half hours later we arrived in glorious sunshine at the beautiful setting of Framlingham Castle Bowls Club. With a little time to spare we explored the delights of Framlingham itself.

On returning to the Bowls Club and meeting our opponents it started to rain. Undaunted we began our games. Our hosts couldn't have been friendlier, sharing umbrellas not to mention ghostly stories.

Half way through our games the sun shone again and we finished off as we arrived in glorious sunshine.

With two rinks each and one drawn a very reputable draw was declared.

Following our after match buffet we reluctantly left all saying how much we had enjoyed our day and couldn't have met a more friendly group of people, and hopefully will be welcoming them to Parkside Bowls Club next May.
