Help for Ukraine

Durham County Council (DCC) have been advised by the British Red Cross that the most effective way of helping is by cash donations, which can be made at www.redcross.org.uk or by calling 0300 023 0820. The Red Cross is advising that it is not currently sending volunteers or donated goods to Ukraine at this time and has asked us to encourage people to contribute through donations. Further information on the reasons for this is available on the Red Cross website.

DCC will continue to meet with partners through the County Durham and Darlington Local Resilience Partnership and will monitor the situation. We will keep you updated.
