HGV Traffic on Baddington Bridge

Several residents have written to the Parish Council with their concerns relating to the problems caused by the HGVs as a result of the Baddington Bridge closure, particularly near Lightwood Green.

The Parish Clerk has shared these concerns with Council and Cllr Rachel Bailey. Cllr Bailey is due to meet with Cheshire East Highways to discuss the Baddington Bridge Options Report.

The Parish Council will continue to liaise with Cllr Bailey and report any updates at Parish Council meetings.

CE Highways continue to reference a greater police presence in the area and whilst I am well aware of the difficulty faced in reprimanding vehicles who may seek to avoid the formal diversion, have asked for a focus in this regard.
