Find out more about this community in:

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking people to stand as Public Governors – volunteers who represent their communities and help influence how services are shaped.

This opportunity may be of interest to people considering a move into the NHS, or a new way to contribute to their community. It’s a great way for people to learn how the NHS works, build leadership and governance experience and contribute to something meaningful.

We have vacancies in: Canterbury, Folkestone & Hythe, Gravesham, Swale, Thanet and Tunbridge Wells.

Anyone over 16 years old, who live in one of the areas listed above can stand for election, however you must be a registered member of KCHFT. If someone isn’t already a member, they can sign up here:

Applications are submitted through the election website:

Please note: people must both sign up for membership and submit their application before nominations close at 5pm on Wednesday, 28 January.

We’ve also created resources to help explain the role and what’s involved:

• Hear from existing governors about why they chose to stand for election: https://vimeo.com/1152233443

• Watch our recent information session and Q&A from the public to find out more about the role: https://vimeo.com/1154733137/a85c86f674

If you’re happy to do so, we’d be grateful if you could share this information with your networks and if possible, help spread the word by sharing our Facebook posts so the opportunity reaches as many people as possible.

If you have any questions about the role of the governor, please contact the governor support office:
