The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) public governor elections are now open.

Public governors help shape how community health services develop and ensure the needs of local people are heard. With community services central to the NHS Long Term Plan, this is an important role for anyone who would like to influence local care.

There are six public governor vacancies in the following areas: Canterbury • Folkestone Hythe • Gravesham • Swale • Thanet • Tunbridge Wells. To stand for election, individuals must be a member of KCHFT and live in one of these areas.

Nominations are open now and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 28 January. If anyone has questions or would like help with their application, they can contact the Governors Team at kcht.governors@nhs.net or call 0300 013 2143
