March 2026 - Live Firing Dates at Altcar Training Camp

NOTIFICATION OF LIVE FIRING AND USE OF DRY TRAINING AREAS
ALTCAR TRAINING CAMP
IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALTCAR TRAINING CAMP BYE-LAWS AND STANDING ORDERS.

NOTIFICATION FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2026.

1. Live firing may take place Mon,Tues, Wed, Thu, Fri ,Sat & Sun from 0800-1530hrs for the period 1 March 2026 to 31 March 2026. Dry Training may take place at any time throughout the month of March 2026 (Blank ammunition and/or Pyrotechnics may be used) Fridays are normally non-live firing days however Operational Training may take place at very short notice.

2 The Land and Sea Danger Areas will be closed during these periods when RED FLAGS or RED LIGHTS/LAMPS are displayed. Air Danger height 1000 ft when Ranges are in use.

3. Live Night Firing will only take place Mon, Tues, Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat if requested, provided at least one calender month notice is received from the Military Unit or Police Firearms organisation.

4. Belated entry night firing for 25 & 26 February 2026, two more in March 4-5 March 2026 from dusk until no later than 2200hrs on all occasions.

5. Whilst every effort is made to conduct Live Firing within the stated timings in paragraph 1, on occasions Military Units may request extra time due to unforeseen circumstances or Operational reasons. This will be strictly monitored by the Range Liaison Officer and only granted in exceptional circumstances.
