Parish Council Elections Held in 2025

Elections for parish councillors across Northumberland took place in May 2025, following the publication of the official Notice of Election by Northumberland County Council.

Nomination papers were submitted during March and early April 2025, with the deadline closing on 2 April. Where elections were contested, polling took place on Thursday, 1 May 2025.

The elections formed part of the regular cycle of local democracy, giving residents the opportunity to stand for election and vote for representatives on their parish councils, including Melkridge.

Further information about the election process, including voter registration and postal voting, was made available by the Electoral Registration Officer ahead of the poll.
