We currently have 2 vacancies on the Parish Council.

We would therefore like to invite anyone who is interested in joining the Council to contact us before 20th April.

If you would like to just chat about the role and find out more about what is involved you can speak to any of the existing councillors, or contact Mel, our Clerk.

The amount of time needed is open to you and how much time you have, but it can start with just attending our meetings to understand what we do.

We meet every other month at different venues in the Parish, are a friendly group, and would welcome the opportunity to speak to you about what we do and how you might help us support our community.

To be able to take up the role you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, a qualifying EU citizen or an EU citizen with retained rights
• Meet at least one of the following four qualifications:
  • You are, and will continue to be, registered as a local government elector for the parish in which you wish to stand from the day you take up the position onwards.
  • You have occupied as owner or tenant any land or other premises in the parish area during the whole of the 12 months before the day of taking up the role.
  • Your main or only place of work during the 12 months prior to the day of taking up the role has been in the parish area.
  • You have lived in the parish area or within three miles of it during the whole of the 12 months before the day of taking up the role.
