For those we're representing at the Tribunal.

As we've said before at meetings, tribunals prefer all parties to settle by way of arbitration/negotiation. So, all along we've said we're willing to do that.

Now that Regency Living has taken over the case we reminded the solicitor that we are happy to reach a negotiated settlement. We asked them to make the new owner aware of our willingness to seek a negotiated settlement and they replied to say they are willing to engage with us to see if a settlement can be agreed.

We had hoped for a little good will from Regency Living in terms of negotiating a fair outcome. However, our meeting was completely unproductive so, despite our best efforts to bring about a speedy resolution, this will have to proceed to tribunal.

Today we sent our available dates in May to the judge who is looking to set a date for the hearing any time soon. But realistically we’re not going to get a result on this until early July 2024.

We're sorry this is dragging on.

We seem to be living in a time whereby big park site owners would seemingly rather throw money at solicitors to deal with disputed pitch fees than use the cash to rectify the things that caused the dispute in the first place. Consequently, the courts are overwhelmed with cases and there are long delays.

It seems to me that the only real winners in all of this are the law firms.

Incidentally, we heard from friends at another park, previously run by Royale but now under new management (differant to us). All residents received letters from their new landlord saying that as a goodwill gesture the last pitch fee increase is scrapped and anyone who has already paid it will get a refund.

A stark contrast in the way two differant companies have introduced themselves!
