2022 has been like a breath of fresh air for Village Voices with new songs, new members and really enjoyable singing. After so many restrictions, cancellations and Covid alerts in 2021, we have revelled in our freedom to sing and perform. Our new musical director, Anna, has made the rehearsals fun and varied with an eclectic mix of songs from composers ranging from Mozart to Abba to Henry VIII. Anna’s cheerful enthusiasm and infinite patience combined with her ability to get the best out of us as singers has developed and honed the sound of the choir. In 2022 we have put on 3 successful concerts as well as performing at the Sandridge Jubilee Party. Going into 2023 we are looking forward to learning a new repertoire of songs and welcoming new members. If you have thought about joining a small choir like Village Voices, then do come along to a rehearsal in January to see whether you like it. Your first rehearsal is on us. We are especially looking for more altos but others are also welcome.

Happy New Year
