The resident's association chair (Gary) and secretary (Pat) have secured a meeting with Royale next week. This meeting is for Royale to inspect the association's records (as they're entitled to do) to make sure the association has been set up properly and we have 'qualified' status.
Once records have been inspected and they are happy we've done things properly, Royale should issue a written confirmation that they formally recognise us.
As soon as we have formal recognition the committee will be able to progress with the first set of discussion points. These include -
  1. A full review of on-site roads, footpaths, lighting and signage - all of which have been flagged up by residents as being inadequate and poorly maintained.
  2. Installing an appropriate number of defibrillators as part of its duty of care to residents.
  3. Commissioning a full fire safety risk assessment and act upon its recommendations.
  4. Investigate continuing issues over gas supplies especially members who have the refillable tanks.
  5. Discuss the clubhouse and how we can help improve this underused asset for the benefit of members.
We look forward to establishing a friendly and constructive relationship that benefits us, Royale and of course, future residents
