"From Rolls-Royce to Witchcraft: Spring History Talks at Sage House

The 2026 History Talk Programme at Sage House, Tangmere continues this spring with two further talks exploring both international heritage and local history.

On Thursday 19 March, Andrew Ball, Head of Corporate Relations and Heritage at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, will present The Story of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The talk will chart the company’s development from its founders and iconic models through to its revival under BMW, including the establishment of its headquarters at Goodwood and the creation of the distinctive Rolls-Royce Bespoke offering.

The programme then continues on Tuesday 21 April with a talk examining Witchcraft in West Sussex. Local historian Chris Hare will explore the myths and realities of witchcraft using local court records and folklore, considering how widespread such beliefs were, how accused witches were treated, and the influence of witchcraft on popular culture.

Both talks take place from 6.00pm to 7.15pm at Sage House, Tangmere. Further details can be found at www.dementiasupport.org.uk in the What’s On section."
