Social prescribing is a way of helping those in need without going down the route of medication. Someone who is socially isolated for whatever reason can be "prescribed" a course of activity suitable to their likes and needs. For example, someone might like to attend an art class locally and this can be prescribed for them. A link person will be joining the Practice in the near future and the PPG are working to collate as much data as possible about local activities to assist this person provide the best service for the patients.
