National Recycling Week 16 - 22nd October 2023

Nine out of ten of us now regularly recycle, but over half of us still miss items that could be recycled at home. The Big Recycling Hunt is a nationwide effort to seek out those items that, for one reason or another, are most likely to be forgotten.

Our busy lives are full of things we could recycle. Whether it’s empty aerosols, food tins, plastic cleaning and toiletry bottles, let’s recycle more of these forgotten items, more often.

While most of us recycle, many are still binning items that could have been recycled. That’s a lot of lost recyclables!

Recycling saves a whopping 18 million tonnes of CO₂ a year in the UK, so the more we can recycle the better. Recycle Now has teamed up with Wrap and is encouraging us to investigate the hidden recyclables in our homes and join The Big Recycling Hunt!
