Trespassing on farmland
The police have recently received a complaint regarding a member of the public trespassing on farmland near Coddington, Newark. This seems to have become more of an issue since the Covid 19 lock-downs and although trespassing is a civil matter it can be a precursor to criminality. There are normally valid concerns surrounding livestock, especially sheep and damage to crops - especially at this time of the year. All dog walkers are reminded to keep dogs on leads where needed and for people using the countryside to stick to the our extensive public footpath and bridleway networks.
