UPDATE: This event will now be held in St Peter’s Church in Ravenshead. Please phone 07502 122416 for more information.

1914-1918 Pals and Poets is a free event to be held in the function room of The Royal Oak on Friday 11th November at 7:30pm until 9pm.

Film, poetry, and live folk music are combined to tell the stories of three soldier-poets; Edward Thomas, David Jones and Siegfried Sassoon, and three “ordinary” Tommies; Herbert Manning, James Edward Tanner and Harold Theophilus Gravells.

The show was performed last year in Southwell and at St Michael's in Farnsfield, where money was raised for the Royal British Legion.
