The Wells Community Shed (WCS) is in the grounds of the Heads Up Mental Health and Well Being Charity in Upper Breach, South Horrington, Wells, was only made possible by a kind donation and support from the Masonic Charitable Foundation to provide an outlet beneficial to the Wells Community as a whole. The Wells Community Shed is affiliated to the United Kingdom Men's Shed Association (UKMSA), an organisation who support existing and encourage new Men's Sheds throughout the UK in an increasingly popular venture and all Sheds are Not For Profit organisations. WCS is a Men's Shed and a separate organisation to Heads Up and although in the same grounds WCS have our own Management and Finances but our objectives in community, socialising and mental health and well being are complimentary.
The Wells Community Shed was officially opened on Friday 12th October 2018 with many attending. See News on right-> or on News Page.
The main themes of WCS are creating Projects from Scratch and Furniture Repair and Restoration on quality furniture and in the future we will be branching out into other crafts and example possibilities are Wood and Country Crafts, Stenciling, Stamping, Printing, Lino-cut Designs, tin/copper work(small), embossing, Stained Glass, Decorating Glass, Ceramics and Mosaics etc. Please see our Projects Pages to see current Projects made from Scratch and Project History History plus those Projects up for Donation on the Grand Furniture Sale Page.
