1st Overton Rainbows is a girl-only space which runs every week in term time for girls aged 5 and 6 years old. We are an active part of the local community, participating in events such as the remembrance parade, the Overton sheep fair and making our own scarecrows for the scarecrow festival.
We provide our girls with an opportunity to meet and mix with different girls outside of school and take part in a variety of different activities. For older girls there are two Brownies Units for girls aged 7-10 years old, and a Guide Unit for girls aged 11-14. If you would like to find out more about these units, visit www.girlguidinguk.org/join
Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. Thanks to the dedication and support of 100,000 amazing volunteers, we are active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.
