About Us

We are proudly the oldest bowls club in Wales, a thriving mixed club catering for all age groups and abilities.

Bowling at Abergavenny is a sociable "Sport for All" where you can meet new friends, take gentle exercise and enjoy the great outdoors.

Playing members enjoy access and use of the green throughout the summer season. All members can enjoy the use of our club house licenced bar and covered terrace.

We have opportunities for players of all levels from beginners to advanced. The Club has qualified coaches and new members are always welcome.

Our summer activities include: A weekly Mixed Club Roll up, Quiz And Bingo evenings, Social Bowling, Friendly and League Matches, Internal Knock-Out Competitions, and the Bowls Tours.

Our Men play in the Monmouthshire Bowling Association League Division 4 and in the Gwent Bowls League Division 2, we also compete in the East Monmouthshire Bowling Association League Against the other six Teams in East Monmouthshire.

The Ladies play in the South Wales & Monmouthshire League and in the Mary Wardle League.

We also have a Mixed team which plays in the South Wales Mixed League as well as Friendlies.
