Abergavenny Farmers' Market
Abergavenny Farmers Market was started several years ago by Steve Sherman in conjunction with Monmouth Borough Council, with the intention of bringing fresh produce to the public directly from the producers. It was later decided to form a committee to take over the running of the Market: the Officers are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all Customers and Producers to Abergavenny Farmers Market, held in the Market Hall, Cross Street, on the 4th Thursday of every month. Our aim is to make it more than just a dreary shopping trip, but an experience that is both pleasurable and informative. To encourage people to enjoy the shopping experience, free coffee, tea & fruit juice will be served by members of the Crickhowell Friends of the Earth.
Set in the shadow of the Welsh hills this vibrant market follows the traditional market stall approach offering high quality goods made from pure ingredients that does not compromise flavour. Customers can find out everything about the product directly from the producer who will be only too pleased to help. Where possible, each month, there will be a live demonstration of food or country craft.
