Concern has been expressed by residents of Allhallows about the parking of a Tractor and Trailer on the field side of Avery Way over the weekend. Although this vehicle was licensed, taxed and parked in a legal way, it is unusual for any vehicles to be parked on that side of the road and there was concern that this would cause a significant obstacle to traffic and perhaps could be dangerous, especialy at night.

There has been confirmation that this vehicle is parked legally by the police as it is on the public highway..

The reason for it to be parked there is part of concern and action by Cllr Chris Draper regarding parking in the vicinity and restricting access to his and neighbour's driveways. It was also in protest against the high speed of some of the traffic on Avery Way with an intent to slow vehicles down. It is an issue that the parish council have raised with Medway Council (the highway authority) on a number of occasions - across the village, not just at this location, and have been unable to get any action.

However this action is not endorsed or condoned by the Allhallows Parish Council and has been carried out in a personal capacity by Cllr. Draper.
