The parish council is investigating an option to infill part of the Cross Park land to enable a new woodland to be created, at no financial cost to the parish council or residents.

It is still at the feasibility stage and the parish council is going to see the details of what is achievable and how the work would be carried out. At this stage the detail is unknown, but the potential contractor is working up a scheme and is engaging with the Groundwork Trust to develop a potential scheme for the woodland - when this is available there will be consultation with local residents before any commitment to the project.

In any case there will need to be a planning application (and all can comment) and an environmental impact assessment to look at both the on-site and off-site impacts of this work.

There will be more information on the parish council website and leaflets as soon a details are available.

Public drop-in sessions will be held on the 8th February 2018 at the Cross Park Pavilion.
