Open Day

Well, THAT was HOT - phew!

The sun shone brightly from a cloudless sky for our annual Open Day. Even temperatures of 30C+ didn't deter a merry band of enthusiastic, fit and fearless souls who turned up for an afternoon of fun and games (and delicious cakes, thanks to Stella, Rudy, Anwyn and Georgina :-). Well done all for coping with the heat - it looked raaather hot from my chair in the the shade of the clubhouse (:o). A special medal for sheer grit and fortitude is hereby awarded to Will - on court throughout and despite the heat didn't wilt ..... or even curl at the edges!

Thanks to all who attended: to our visitors, we hope you enjoyed it - we certainly enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again soon. To all organisers, helpers and members who contributed refreshments: thank you, we couldn't do anything without willing volunteers.

Here's to more long, sunny days (though maybe not quite so hot, thanks) on court!
