New Parish Council Planning Committee

The Parish Council has formed a Planning Committee whose principal purpose is to assess new planning applications within the Parish and provide considered responses to the Local Planning Authority. The aim is to try to achieve development outcomes that are in keeping with the scale, character, and needs of the Parish, identifying and highlighting applications which may have a detrimental impact on the Parish’s environment or the well-being of its residents.

As such, the Planning Committee is prepared to meet members of the community or businesses with potential applications before they are submitted, especially for applications of significant scale or sensitivity. We encourage you to contact the Parish Clerk if you have a potential proposal to discuss.

The Planning Committee will also conduct annual reviews of the Ardington and Lockinge Neighbourhood Plan, once that is approved.
