Ashendon Parish Council has taken up the opportunity presented by the Active Bucks programme to get Ashendon Active. We will start with six one-hour adult fitness sessions to be held on the playing fields.

Each session will be led by Ian King a local personal trainer with 30 years’ experience of helping adults of all ages and all fitness levels to improve their personal fitness.

The sessions are open to anyone apart from those who never exercise - you don't need to be fitness nuts or gym dwellers. The aim is to improve cardiovascular strength and endurance, muscle strength and stamina, balance, posture and range of movement. By joining in you will learn how to exercise in a safe environment and how to stretch. To achieve this Ian uses a range of equipment to run circuit sessions that make fitness enjoyable.

Because Bucks County Council subsidises these sessions the cost is just £2 per session.

Sessions will run from Sunday 6th August and will start at 9am prompt. There is a limit to the numbers - 10 is the ideal group size. A flyer will be distributed around the village at the weekend with sign up details.

Through Active Bucks it is also planned to run 3 half day activities for the children and young people in the village - this will be communicated as soon as we have more details of the planned events.
