Everyone is welcome at the Centre whether participating or as a spectator. Tea and coffee are available or bring a picnic to enjoy on the waterfront. Visit us to see what we offer and you'll be amazed at how much fun you can have on the water.
The Berkshire Sail Training Centre is a registered charity (No 1003259), a recognised Royal Yachting Association Training Centre, Licensed by AALA and is a British Stand Up Paddleboarding approved school.
We offer outstanding opportunities in youth development through Watersports for all from beginners through to instructor. Since 1964 we have provided training for developing key skills which enhance personal development.
In March 2007 The Berkshire Sail Training Centre became an RYA OnBoard club. OnBoard is a RYA initiative actively aimed at introducing more young people into sailing, coaching them, and keeping them involved in sailing for life.
In January 2013 BSTC became a British Stand Up Paddleboarding Association approved school and with the purchase of 12 new boards look forward to introducing this extremely popular sport to many youngsters and adults.
The Berkshire Sail Training Centre has to be financially self-supporting and in order to achieve this The Sail Training Centre (Berks) Ltd was formed to generate income from courses open to the public during the school holidays and Saturdays. All proceeds raised go to the charity. We also apply for grants when they are available.
