BikeStart is The Source Young People’s Charity’s (www.thesourceforyou.co.uk) social bike project.

BikeStart (www.bikestart.co.uk) is an exciting combination of a sustainable source of income for our  Youth Work, an intergenerational mentoring project where young people learn new skills from our team of Volunteers, a recycling project and a place to encourage community cycling.

Based at our workshop in Aldershot (Unit 17, Browning Barracks, Alisons Road, Aldershot  GU11 2BU) we:

  • Refurbish donated bikes (which are then sold on eBay)
  • Provide bike services and safety checks
  • Train people in bike maintenance skills

We are looking for Mechanically Minded Volunteers available on Mondays and / or Thursdays from 9:30am - 4:30pm to join our friendly team of Bike Start Volunteers who refurbish the bikes that our generously donated to BikeStart.

Full training in refurbishing bikes will be provided.
