SHORT HISTORY OF BINFIELD MEMORIAL HALL

In January 1919 the Rector Rev .R.A.C. Bevan called a parish meeting to consider the question of a suitable memorial to those inhabitants of the village who had served in the forces during the Great War. Suggestions were made for a recreation ground to be purchased but the main suggestion was the erection of a village hall adjacent to the club, to be built on land 100ft by 100ft.

The Memorial Hall was built during the 1920's with an extension added in the mid 1970’s.

The hall has been central to the community as a much loved venue hosting clubs, societies and private parties.
