Carnival News

Thank you to everyone who helped with this year's Carnival in any way. Whether you turned up to one of the events, helped put together a river float or a parade entry, had a stall or just lent a hand.

More news and photos will follow over the next few days, so check back for that, and also for news of next year's Carnival.

Thank you

Work for the Parish Council

The Parish Council currently has both building and fencing work available. Any local company wishing to be included on the mailing list to quote for these and future jobs should contact the Clerk on Bishopstoke.pc@btconnect.com.

In particular, quotes would be welcome for a substantial fencing job at Bishopstoke Cemetery. The specification for the job is available here.

Neighbourhood Plan Help

Bishopstoke Parish Council is working on producing a Neighbourhood Plan that will help shape the future of our village for the coming years.  We've already had offers of help from a number of residents,  but it's not too late if you'd like to volunteer to join one of the working groups or help out in other ways. Just complete the Expression of Interest form (which you can download here) and either drop it in to the Parish Office (next to the Memorial Hall) or email it back to us at Bishopstoke.pc@btconnect.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hampshire Trading Standards warnings

The latest warnings from Trading Standards can be found here.

A warning about doorstep or telephone callers offering to spray foam insulation for lofts has just been added. The caller may make false claims such as they are working for or on behalf of local authorities, or that they work with Trading Standards.

More details can be found on our Trading Standards page, or on the main Hampshire Trading Standards page.
