F & GP Committee
The Finance & General Purposes Committee is appointed at the AGM in May and sits for the following 12 months, although it does not meet in May or August. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month, with the exception of June when it is usually the first Tuesday. The Committee can pass resolutions on anything that does not commit the Council to direct expenditure, and can authorise budgeted expenditure of up to £5,000. The Committee is also responsible for all staff payments.
Recommendations can be made on grant applications and the Parish response to any consultations, as well any expenditure beyond £5,000.
The Committee members, with their attendance at meetings since the AGM in May, are: Cllrs Thornton (Chair) (6 of 7), Winstanley (Vice-Chair) (4 of 7), Brown (7 of 7), Mignot (3 of 7), Parker-Jones (5 of 7), Tidridge (6 of 7) and Toher (6 of 7).
