Bishopstoke Parish Council
October 2017 Press Release
British Summer Time Ends
A reminder that the clocks are going back this month on the 29th October.
Police Safety advice
District Inspector Ian Trueman and PCSO Knights attended the Parish Council meeting on October 24th. They advised that as the evenings are now getting darker, and the clocks are about to go back, residents should be aware of some basic safety advice to keep their homes protected. Keeping lights on and using timers for lights and radios can aid in making a house appear occupied even when it is not. Also, double checking that side gates are locked is an easy precaution to take. Burglary tends to rise at this time of the year and if any resident is worried then they can contact PCSO Knights to arrange a free Crime Prevention Survey.
Wildlife in the road
An increasing amount of wildlife, especially deer, is being spotted on Church Road and in the surrounding area. Please drive carefully to avoid harm to yourselves, your vehicles or the wildlife.
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Tuesday 28 November 2017 at 7.30pm in the Parish Council Office, Riverside, Bishopstoke.
