One of our families in Gibsmere has come up with a lovely idea to further brighten our village.

The idea is for children to make little pictures or hanging ornaments to decorate the fence between the church and Glebe field - the main picture is just one idea to help get you started....

It would be a lovely way to brighten up the field and Church, as it usually looks cheerful for May Day.

All items should be labelled and carefully attached so as to not cause any damage to the fence.

Please do not hang any decorations on the Church Lychgate.

Since the idea was first suggested, Rev Phil and the Church Wardens have asked if it would also be possible for you to make an extra one for the residents of Hazelford Care Home.

There are places to hang things for the residents to enjoy in the garden and maybe something joyful for the car park (rainbow?). It's also a lovely thank you to the staff who are a bit out of the way down there. It would be good to let them know they are not forgotten.

There is also a request for activities for the residents to do. Simple craft activities, colouring in, games etc if anyone has things suitable and to spare.

If you take anything down the message is to ring the buzzer on the front door and someone will come out to you, eventually!

If you would like to help make the Glebe Field/Gibsmere Nursing Home look more colourful and want to paint pine cones, Mr Peter Cast from Little Dower House in Bleasby has left a basket of pine cones outside his drive. He lives virtually opposite the Bleasby Tea Rooms on the corner. Please help yourself and happy painting.

Thank you again for all you are doing to support our residents.
