Overcrowded telephone box leads to good cause
Bleasby Parish Council
Last week Bleasby Village Facebook posted a picture of the telephone box on Main Street, which also acts as a book exchange, showing how it had become overcrowded with books, subsequently blocking access to the defibrillator. This led to the suggesting by local resident Helen Davis to donate some of the books to families in Nottinghamshire who are in need of reading material.
Helen is working with vulnerable families living in the most deprived parts of Notts. Two things they have said that would help is books and family board games. She asks that if you have had a sort out and have anything suitable please then please contact her by email on Helen.davis@activenotts.org.uk and she will arrange to collect/drop off. Items need to be complete and in good condition please.
In the meantime, please help by keeping access to the defibrillator as clear as possible when depositing your used books in the telephone box.
Many thanks.
