Bleasby Village Hall

Bleasby’s attractive village hall stands on Gypsy Lane. It was originally the village school, built in 1855, and generations of local children received their education there – some of them are still living here and can tell you about it! It was in use as the school until the 1960s when the new school was built. Soon after this it was secured for the parish and became, in due course, the village hall.

Over the years it has been extended and brought to an attractive and up-to-date standard for uses of all kinds. It is used regularly for meetings of the Parish Council, the WI, the Local History Society and the Bleasby Playgroup and for a host of other activities such as the Trent Churches Choir practices, the sewing club and weekly whist drives. It is also great for events such as children’s parties, suppers and fund-raising coffee mornings etc. It’s not quite big enough for full-scale dances but lots of ‘dramatic’ performances and other entertainments have taken place there.

Why not hire the village hall for your event?

Our splendid village hall is available for people to use for such things as fund-raising events, classes, family and children’s parties etc.

The hall is equipped with plenty of modern tables and chairs plus lots of crockery and cutlery.

The cutlery, crockery (including loads of mugs), wine and champagne glasses and equipment including electric and thermos tea urns can also be hired separately to the hall and there are also about forty plastic chairs and some tables for hire which can be used out of doors.

The hall costs £7.50 per hour to hire, fully inclusive - for parties we ask for a deposit. Hire rates for equipment can be obtained from our contact, Alison Salter, on 830373, or ask any of the Committee Members.
