BEWARE! Scam Phone Call

We have been notified that there are scam calls operating in the Bomere Heath area.

The scam caller claims they are calling from Shropshire Council concerning a sizeable council tax refund that is due to you. They then ask for your bank details to make the refund.

THIS IS A SCAM and Shropshire Council, HMRC and banks would never ring people in this manner or ask for personal or bank details over the phone.

If you receive a call of this type, we would advise that you hang up immediately and report it on 101 using another phone. In an emergency or if a crime is in progress call 999.
